He wonders why she’s going through such existential hoops, but she says that in the past she only lived for other people and never herself. She doesn’t want to lean on anyone else anymore, because the more you lean [ki-dae], the more you expect [ki-dae]. As Grandma and Aunt eat their chicken, Grandma’s keen eye picks up on the shop belonging to Jang-mi’s family, and chuckles at Ki-tae’s roundabout way of staying in Jang-mi’s life. Mom overhears them but doesn’t say anything. Hyun-hee sits down with Ki-tae and notes bitterly that he seems fine after leaving Jang-mi in that state, and he counters that Jang-mi is the one ignoring him.

This would have been much more in keeping with the tone of the show. Especially, if they all ending up resolving everything at the chicken shop because grandpa did say he wanted to sit down to enjoy chicken with his in-laws. In Korea motels have the connotation of being a place where people go to have sex because they can’t do it home. For an older couple it could look like they’re having an affair or something.

But cant help but love the fact that despite it all they still chose each other – especially like u said in her case, it just further proves how much she loved him wholeheartedly. The usual amnesia trope deals with physical injury, and it’s a (usually pretty implausible) physical thing that ends up healing it. datingsitesreviews Here, though, it was totally believable because it dealt with mental trauma, which is a real thing. It would have minimized HyunSu’s wrong had he simply been able to pick up where he left off with HeeSung’s life. It’s time for him to find himself–not the man he tried to pretend to be, but the man he could be.

Because of Love (

I’ve been meaning to check out Hope For Dating for awhile so now that I know the writer is the same person, I’m definitely going to move it up on my to watch list. And The Angel of Death Comes In Purple High Heels is just a fantastic title which has definitely peeked my interest. Oh my goodness what an expected surprise. I really want this recap so that you guys can catch the nuances which I usually don’t get. Wow, I thought I was the only one – and I almost NEVER rewatch episodes. Thanks GF & LP for recapping this show!

She stirs up trouble wherever she goes because she doesn’t privilege being comfortable over speaking her mind. That’s a lot easier for me to swallow than watching naive wallflowers get abused/humiliated by straight-up bad people, as happens so frequently in other dramas. I do not have time in my life to be obsessed with TWO dramas, yet here I am, mainlining Marriage Not Dating and High School King of Savvy like they’re a drug. After a long, long drama dry spell, this show gives me LIFE. It is hilarious, sweet, surprisingly realistic in its depiction of relationships, mature, zippy, fun, and the OTP is just perfect. I love that their relationship is not treated as this precious, immutable thing, but rather a pairing that pushes each person to grow in ways they didn’t expect or want, but needed.

I think that in part, Marriage Not Dating was so enjoyable because the lead actors were easy to relate to, not just because of their flaws, but also because they looked like normal people. Yeon Woo Jin, though adorable, doesn’t have the abs of an idol or male model, and Han Groo is cute in a very natural way. I’m just so happy that this show remained true to itself until the end. And that they weren’t afraid to show the OTP kissing and touching like any normal couple (thanks cable!). One thing that hits me on this series is to appreciate all my loved ones for all their kinkiness, messiness and all their disorders since I for one is one…. Agajdkslldnsnahajjsjd this is def the best romcom of 2014.

Our Blooming Youth ( Episode 11

What the hell will come next though … This next week will be horrible while we wait to find out. Also, I really wanted the drama to end on a double wedding ngl and was a little disappointed we never saw Ha-ri’s extra reaction to Yeong-Seo’s engagement. Even if it did not end perfectly as we expected, this show was amazing. I noticed I was already hooked on 5min30 at the first episode. And as I am a heavy skipper, I often skip most of the first episode where presentations are often boring to me.

I’ve been loving it to pieces and i’m so glad that you were able to find time to recap. I cant stop laughing at the piggyback scene. And the moment she told or say convinced Se Ah that something wrong with GGT head, her expression..priceless. Han Groo is a total badass as well!

The Flaming Heart (

The groom looked so contently happy and the bride went with a full princess style lace gown, very formal and elegant. The wedding was HUGE from the looks of it, the big name stars in attendance alone felt like half of K-ent not to mention the friends and family on top of that. The decor used floral centerpieces and arrangements as the focus and was so perfect for an early Spring wedding with plenty of winter whites. Congrats again to the happy couple and wishing them all the best on the journey of marriage. I feel like there’s a show- though I don’t think it’s a kdrama – where there was a serial killer who body swaps with this random high school or college girl?? And there was like a time limit to swap back before things became permanent or something.

And by the way, what with Jang-Mi’s mom, yikes!! I started off loving it but midway it lost its addictiveness to me and it wasn’t as funny as it used to be. They took too long to have the OTP start dating and the angst and the two leads going around in circles aggravated me to no end. In spite of all of this I still liked this drama and when the leads did get together they were magic on screen. They have such wonderful chemistry, I hope they are able to reunite in another drama or movie someday.
