I think it’s more about maturity level/life stage than actual age. When my husband and I met I was just finishing undergrad and he had just been discharged from the marine corps, so similar life stages (we were 21 and 28). While Mark is “old” he’s relatively immature/inexperienced when it comes to serious, long-term relationships, so I don’t think he’s too far off from Lexi in that regard. Of course, no one will hold a candle to Meredith and Derek, but these two came in a close second.
